Trinamool Congress has claimed that the ground in Hooghly's Arambagh remained half empty where Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed a public meeting on Friday.

The ruling party said that the BJP's tactic to bring the Prime Minister to West Bengal failed miserably, and people in Arambagh displayed that it has no place for the BJP.

"Bringing PM Narendra Modi to Bengal was supposed to be a West Bengal BJP grand move, but it proved to be otherwise! Despite the presence of the Prime Minister, the BJP's meeting ground remained half-empty. Arambagh clearly demonstrated that the divisive BJP has no place in the hearts of the people of Bengal!," TMC posted on X.

Launching the Bharatiya Janata Party's poll campaign on Mamata Banerjee's turf for the upcoming Lok Sabha polls, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said the TMC government is a big hurdle in the empowerment of the poor, farmers, youth and women.

PM Modi attacked TMC on the Sandeshkhali issue while addressing a public rally in West Bengal's Arambagh, urging people to reply in the form of a vote to each pain they have suffered.

"Har chot ka jawab vote se dena hai. Today, the people of West Bengal are asking their CM 'Didi'- is the vote of some people more important than atrocities against women in Sandeshkhali?...All the tall leaders of INDI alliance were silent on the Sandeshkhali incident. INDI alliance leaders were like the three monkeys of Gandhiji...Congress chief said- 'Arey chhoddo, Bengal mein toh yeh sab chalta rheta hai," PM Modi said.

He also underlined the mantra of 'GYAN', and said that 'Garib' (poor), 'Yuva' (youth), 'Annadata' (farmers), and 'Nari' (women) are the priorities of the government.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi dedicated to the nation and laid the foundation stone for multiple development projects worth Rs 7,200 crore in Arambagh, Hooghly, West Bengal. (ANI)
