Leading philanthropist and co-chair of tech giant Microsoft, Bill Gates on Friday said that economy of India is growing and so is the innovation, which is not only great for the country, but the whole world.

"Every time I come, the economy of India is growing and so is innovation which is not only great for India but the whole world," Gates told ANI.

Heaping praise on the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Gates said, "The government with the Prime Minister's leadership has focused on key things. I have been to several different states. Amazing hospitality!"

The Microsoft co-founder is on a visit to Gujarat, where he is scheduled to attend the pre-wedding festivities of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant.

Earlier today, Gates paid a visit to Arogya Van (Herbal Garden), which is based in Kevadia in the Narmada district of Gujarat.

Arogya Van exhibits a wide range of medicinal plants and health-related landscapes. The aim of this attraction is to raise awareness about the important role played by plants in the wellness of human beings. Emphasis is also laid on Yoga, Ayurveda and Meditation for being an integral part of a person's well-being.

It is located near the 'Statue of Unity', which is also a key point of attraction for tourists. (ANI)
