Exerting his support to Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren, Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut on Wednesday said that the latter is not ready to take 'Palti' like Nitish Kumar and is paying the price for the same.

Addressing a press conference, Raut said "Hemant Soren has majority, people have elected him as the Chief Minister. The way the agency behaves today is not democracy. This is a dictatorship. In Chandigarh, eight votes were disqualified so that the BJP mayor could be elected. What kind of democracy is this? Hemant Soren is not ready to bow down. He is not ready to take a 'Palti' like Nitish Kumar and is just paying its price."

Amid partner parties in the INDIA bloc criticizing Congress for delay in seat-sharing talks, Sanjay Raut said that in most of the states, talks are going on positively.

"Talks are going on between Congress and Samajwadi Party in Uttar Pradesh. In most of the states the talks in the INDIA bloc regarding seat-sharing are going on positively," he added.

Meanwhile, ED officials will question Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren in the alleged Land Scam case today at his residence.

Yesterday, In a move to quash rumours that "Hemant Soren has been absconding", Jharkhand Chief Minister held a series of meetings with party leaders and various MLAs of the INDIA bloc at his residence on Monday.

However, the BJP said that people have no expectations from the Jharkhand Chief Minister as he is deeply involved in massive corruption and has made it is source of income.

Earlier on Tuesday, the Enforcement Directorate seized Rs 36 lakh in cash and two cars after it conducted searches at the residence of Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren.

Officials of the ED searched Soren's residence in South Delhi in connection with a money laundering case linked to an alleged land scam case.

BJP MP from Jharkhand, Nishikant Dubey said that he was "bowing his head in shame" as the Chief Minister of his state was a "baghoda" (on the run).

"Whenever he was used to get ED summons he (Soren) used to claim that he was not afraid of anyone, he was the son of Veer Shibu, a big man, the son of an adiasi, a fighter and one who wont be intimidated by anyone. Today when he is being summoned for questioning that means he must have committed some mistake. (ANI)
