The National President of the Indian Youth Congress, Srinivas BV revealed shocking statistics regarding the persisting job crisis in India and questioned the Centre when will be the recruitment done, stating that over 9 years have passed, and the youth are still waiting for promised employment opportunities.

According to RTI information, based on the data received from the Central Government, even today more than 9 lakh 80 thousand posts are lying vacant in various departments of the Central Government.

"An RTI information by Anand Mishra, National Vice Chairman of Indian Youth Congress, RTI Department revealed the alarming statistics, but no steps have been taken yet by the government to fill these posts. When will the recruitment be done," questioned Srinivas BV.

According to the information received, 2,93,943 posts are still vacant in important departments like Railways, in the Home Department 1,43,500 posts are vacant, 2,64,706 vacant posts in Civil Defence and 90,000 posts are vacant in Postal Department.

"No matter which department we talk about, the number of vacant posts remains the same, be it the Ministry of External Affairs, Agriculture Department, Sports and Youth Affairs, number of vacant posts exist in each department," said Youth Congress president.

Srinivas BV criticized the government's failure to fulfil promises made in 2014 when Prime Minister Modi assured the creation of 2 crore jobs annually.

"In 2014, when Modi ji's government was formed at the Centre, Modi ji had promised that 2 crore youth would be given employment every year, but today after 9 years, the Central Government has failed to fill the vacant posts at the Centre. The youth of the country is no longer going to be misled by them and the youth of this country will do the work of ousting this anti-youth government from power at the Center in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections," he said.
