Tearing into the opposition INDIA bloc after JDU President and Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, who was at the forefront of the bloc, joined back the BJP-led NDA regime, Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Sunday said that all their efforts have been "futile" so far and "will not either materalise" in the future.

Speaking with ANI during his visit to Karnal in Haryana hours after Nitish Kumar was sworn in as Chief Minister for ninth time, He said, "Those who will come will be welcomed...Jo aayega unka swagat..."

On a query to INDIA bloc which was formed seven months ago to take on the BJP-led NDA in the 2024 Lok Sabha election, he said, "Dil ke tukde huye hazaar. Kyoi idhar gira, Kyoi udhar gira. (Heart has been broken in a thousand pieces. Each piece is lying scattered about). They can't be trusted (INDIA bloc allies)."

Without taking names he said, "Those who were at the forefront of the INDIA bloc had neither vision. Nor those (allies) who joined the bloc. When one ally joins the group, two exit it. And when two allies join, then three exit the group. Their story will run accordingly."

"All their efforts have not been materilaised so far. Neither will in futrue," He added.

On a query regarding Rahul Gandhi's Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra being shown reportedly flags in the West Bengal, He said, "It is their internal matter. I will not comment on it."

Janata Dal-United chief Nitish Kumar took oath as Bihar Chief Minister for the ninth time at Raj Bhavan on Sunday after snapping ties with "Mahagathbandhan".

After days of speculation, JD(U) chief Nitish Kumar resigned as the Chief Minister of Bihar on Sunday, his second volte face in less than 18 months. Snapping ties with the RJD and Congress, Nitish formed a government with BJP's support. (ANI)
