"Heartiest wishes to everyone on India's 75th Republic Day. Republic is not just a word for us, but it is the foundation of our nation. India's Republic is India's pride. In our journey over the last seven and a half decades, the Republic of India has continuously become stronger and prosperous. From agricultural fields to sports fields; from land to space, India has set new standards for the world," Speaker Om Birla said in his message.

Om Birla said that India has moved towards self-reliance in the past 75 years.

"In these 75 years, with the contribution of every class and individual, India has moved towards self-reliance. In these 75 years, we have achieved many things, turned adversities into opportunities and are moving forward as a successful nation," he said adding that the social fabric of the nation has become stronger.

"Our democracy has become more prosperous. There has been a socio-economic transformation in the country," he said.

Stating that we must remember our national heroes on the occasion, Om Birlas said, "We must know the historical journey of the Republic of India, be proud of it and pledge to strengthen the Republic by actively participating in the democratic process."
