Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) International Working President Alok Kumar on Sunday said that the entire Sindhi community and the whole of India have not forgotten that Sindh is still not independent, adding that Hindus of Sindh still continue to follow their religion irrespective, even after facing suppression.

While attending an event organised by Pragatisheel Sindhi Samaj, Alok Kumar said, "The slavery that started in Sindh after King Dahir's defeat is still continuing. We remembered those Hindus in Sindh facing suppression. Their lives, women and property are not safe, but still, they are following their religion. We also remembered the Shia Muslims who follow the Dargah system."

Ahead of the Ram Temple inauguration on January 22 in Ayodhya, the VHP president said, "Sindhi community is celebrating it (Ram Temple inauguration) with fervour."

The preparations are underway in full swing for the Ram Temple 'Pran Pratishtha' on January 22, which will draw dignitaries and people from all walks of life.

The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust has decided to enthrone Ram Lalla at the sanctum-sanctorum of the Ram Temple at noon on January 22.

Former Lok Sabha Speaker and senior Congress leader Meira Kumar received an invitation for the Pran Pratishtha ceremony at Ram Janmabhoomi Mandir on Sunday.

Rashtriya Swyamsewak Sangh (RSS) leader Ramlal paid a visit to Meira Kumar on Sunday and personally extended the invitation to her. (ANI)
