Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Nishikant Dubey on Sunday took a dig at Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for skipping Godda and Deogarh districts of Jharkhand in his 'Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra' and said, "Maybe Rahul Gandhi loves me a lot."

Nishikant Dubey, an MP from Godda Lok Sabha constituency, suggested that Rahul Gandhi might be avoiding the two districts in Jharkhand to appear secular during the election time.

"Maybe Rahul Gandhi loves me a lot; hence, he is skipping the Godda Lok Sabha constituency (in his Bharat Jodo Yatra). He is not coming to Godda and Deoghar districts," Dubey said while speaking to ANI.

"Maybe the Congress party workers are creating pressure for 'pooja-path,' and Rahul Gandhi wants to look secular during the election time so that their Muslim vote does not get angry. This is why he is skipping Godda Lok Sabha constituency," he said.

Notably, Rahul Gandhi's 'Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra' is expected to cover 13 districts in Jharkhand in a total of eight days.

Further, BJP MP from Godda constituency mentioned that he asked Andhra Pradesh CM Jagan Mohan Reddy to build a Tirupati Balaji Mandir in Deogarh, and his application was accepted by the temple trust.

"Deograh is the land of gods. Tirupati Trust is building Tirupati Balaji temples at various places. So there was a need for it in Deograh also. When I met Andhra Pradesh CM Jagan Mohan Reddy in Delhi, who is also my friend, I requested him to build the Tirupati temple in Deograh. He had given my application to Tirupati Trust. In the meeting held in December 2023, my application was accepted by the Trust," Dubey said.

Earlier, Congress on Saturday unveiled the logo and slogan of the party's upcoming 'Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra' which will be led by party leader Rahul Gandhi. The slogan of the Yatra is "Nyay ka haq milne tak".

"Under the leadership of Rahul Gandhi, we are starting 'Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra' from January 14. 'Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra' is our strong step towards providing economic, social and political justice to the country's people," Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge said.

The Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra will start from Imphal on January 14 and cover a distance of 6,713 kilometres, straddling 100 Lok Sabha constituencies and 337 assembly segments and covering 110 districts.

The march will culminate in Mumbai on March 20 or 21. (ANI)
