Fire breaks out in slum in Mumbai's Govandi area, no injuries reported

A fire broke out in a slum in Zakir Hussain Nagar, Govandi area of Mumbai, on Tuesday. Fire tenders rushed to the spot and brought the fire under control, said Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation authorities.

The authorities said that no injuries have been reported. The fire incident was reported at around 3.09 p.m.

The fire was confined to electric wiring, electric installation, stock of scrap material, stock of cardboard papers, etc., said the BMC.

The BMC said that the fire is confined to the ground-floor hutment structure. Further information is awaited. (ANI)
