Spiritual leader Sadhvi Rithambara expressed happiness at the consecration ceremony of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, saying that people can now witness a "dream coming true".

"I thank God and would remember our ancestors who struggled for 500 years. We can witness our dream coming true because of the sacrifice of the Kar Sevaks, the struggle of party workers, the blessings of seers and most importantly the political atmosphere in the country," Rithambara told ANI.

"Those who are fortunate will get an opportunity to be part of the grand ceremony. It is a big thing if God chooses us," she added.

Rithambara further said, "Our temples have been forever a centre of education. Those who accept the god's rule become free from arrogance. Our religion and culture make us human beings, and education aims to inculcate humanity in us. Our temples teach us the way of living. If the statements come out of 'political compulsion', I cannot comment on that."

The consecration ceremony of the Ram Temple will be held on January 22, which will be attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi along with other prominent personalities.

Meanwhile, Shri Ram Mandir Construction Committee Chairman Nripendra Misra on Thursday took stock of the ongoing construction work on the Ram Janmabhoomi Path and the complex along with the top district official.

The inspection came ahead of the consecration ceremony, scheduled for next month, and Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to the temple city on Saturday.

"The work is not being done hastily, rather it is being done qualitatively by investing enough time into it," Misra said while speaking to ANI.

As per temple officials, the consecration ceremony will be held over a span of seven days, starting on January 16.

On the final day, January 22, after the morning puja, the deity of Ram Lala will be consecrated in 'Mrigashira Nakshatra' in the afternoon. (ANI)
