Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Monday praised Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, saying "spiritual and material development of the state will continue unabated under CM Yogi's leadership."

"As long as Chief Minister Yogi is in power, the spiritual and material development of the state will continue unabated, unhindered by any force in the world," Singh said.

He made these remarks while addressing the Shashtipurti Mahotsav in Mathura. The event was also graced by the presence of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.

Further, the defence minister applauded CM Yogi for fostering feelings of security, prosperity, and pride among the people in his state.

"I believe that all of you, as saints, must be experiencing a unique atmosphere in Uttar Pradesh right now, given that the state is currently governed by a saint. I extend my congratulations to our Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath. How the administration of Uttar Pradesh is being managed has instilled not only a sense of security but also a sense of prosperity and pride in the minds of the people," Rajnath Singh said.

"India is the only country where the sages, residing within its borders, have not only considered the people living in India as members of their family but have also propagated the message of "Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam" to the whole world, considering all people living on earth as members of their family. If this message has originated from any country, it has come solely from India and not from any other country in the world," the defence minister said.

"There is joy in the name of Krishna itself, so in this city of Lord Krishna, not only is every fibre of my being filled with happiness but it is also imbued with devotion," Singh said. (ANI)
