Police on Thursday evening apprehended four persons along with heroin in Assam's Cachar district.
The apprehended persons were identified as Munna Khan (40 years old), Azaur Rahman (29 years old), Asibur Rahman (22 years old) and the driver of the vehicle, Vishal Baidya (23 years) all residents from Charaideo district. Numal Mahatta, Superintendent of Police of Cachar district said that, acting on a credible intelligence a vehicle bearing registration number AS-06 E-7979 was intercepted on the Silchar-Haflong road near the Balachera toll gate on Thursday. "During search two numbers of soap cases of heroin have been seized from the specially made chambers of the vehicle. The police team apprehended four persons," SP Numal Mahatta said.
