J-K Police seize drug peddler's property in Kupwara district

The Jammu and Kashmir Police on Wednesday seized the property of a drug dealer in the Mawer area in Handwara of the state's Kupwara district.

Police seized over five canals of orchard land belonging to the notorious drug dealer named Amir Mukhtiyar Malik.

The property was seized under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act of 1985.

Earlier, in a similar case that happened in September this year, Jammu and Kashmir police attached the property of a notorious drug peddler worth Rs 7.88 lakh in Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama.

"Police in Pulwama attached a single-storey, under-construction house valued at approximately 7.88 lacs belonging to a notorious drug peddler, namely Zahoor Ahmad Wani, son of Ab Rehman Wani, located in Jindwall village, Tehsil Pulwama, District Pulwama under the NDPS Act 1985," Jammu and Kashmir police said after seizing the property of the drug peddler.
