TDP Polit Bureau member Varla Ramaiah took a jibe at the YSRCP government on Wednesday over the Aadudam Andhra programme. Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy claimed that the programme is meant to encourage sports enthusiasts.

Countering the claim, the TDP leader said. "The Jagan Reddy government kept quiet for the last 4 years and 8 months without doing anything in connection with sports or having any specific policy related to sports. I would like to ask the wonderful chief minister why he has been silent for the last 4 years and 8 months. Do you even have any policies?"

Ramaiah said that Jagan started to play with the people of Andhra Pradesh when he was just about to retire within a few months. "You have played the people of the state for all these years. The SC, the BCs, the minorities, the women, and the farmers--who have brought you to power--are happy with Jagan's administration," added the leader.

He highlighted that during former CM Nara Chandrababu Naidu's regime, each constituency had a specific policy for sports and games. Sports events were held at Mandal levels.

"Without showing any regard for the youth, the CM is now playing with the people of Andhra. This is unfortunate and TDP condemns this last-minute action of the government," added the Ramaiah.

He also warned the leader to be cautious of the incumbent anti-youth government. (ANI)
