DG BSF visits Agartala, motivates troops to tackle frequently changing situation

Director General of the Border Security Force (BSF) Nitin Agrawal and Additional Director General of the Eastern Command Sonali Mishra, arrived on a two-day visit to Frontier Headquarters BSF of Salbagan in Tripura's Agartala.

Nitin Agrawal was given the guard of honour at the Officers' Institute at Salbagan.

A Prahari Sammelan followed by an Investiture ceremony for PMMS Awardees was organised at Mitrica Hall at Frontier HQ BSF Salbagan.

Addressing troops in Prahari Sammelan, the Director General of the BSF briefed on the present security scenario and motivated troops to tackle the frequently changing situation.

He stressed on personal health and proper training of troops to ensure the battle preparedness of the force.

DG Agrawal also applauded the tireless efforts and dedication in safeguarding the borders and efforts made by BSF Tripura frontier to prevent trans-border crime effectively on the Indo-Bangladesh border.

He also emphasized curbing the menace of drugs to save our future generations.

Meanwhile, the DG BSF took stock of the current security situation and operational preparedness along the Indo-Bangladesh border. The Officiating IG briefed him about various aspects of the functioning of Tripura Frontier. (ANI)
