Swift police response saves lives in Chennai-Calcutta National Highway accident

In a recent incident near Venkatachalam on the Chennai-Calcutta National Highway, Naidupet DSP Rajagopal Reddy demonstrated exemplary valour by promptly rescuing and transporting the injured to a nearby hospital.

The victims, a family hailing from Nellore, were en route from their hometown to Tirumala when their car collided with a lorry due to poor visibility caused by heavy smoke and snow. The vehicle carried four occupants. The impact of the collision left the individuals with severe injuries.

Responding swiftly to the distress call, Naidupet DSP Rajagopal Reddy, along with Manubolu SI Ajay Kumar, efficiently extricated the injured from the mangled vehicles. The injured were then expeditiously transported to a private hospital in Nellore for urgent medical attention, showcasing the officers' commitment to humanitarian aid.

Expressing their gratitude, the family members of the victims conveyed heartfelt thanks to Naidupet DSP Rajagopal Reddy and the police personnel for their timely intervention, acknowledging that it played a crucial role in saving lives. The incident serves as a testament to the importance of swift and effective emergency response in ensuring the well-being of individuals involved in road accidents. (ANI)
