NCP-Sharad Pawar faction leader Rohit Pawar disagreed with the speeches of State Cabinet Minister and NCP leader (Ajit Pawar faction) Chaggan Bhujbal but asserted that security should be provided to him if there was a threat against him.

NCP-Sharad Pawar faction leader Rohit Pawar said, "As far as Chaggan Bhujbal is concerned, the kind of speeches he is doing, I don't agree with it and I'm against the kind of speeches he is giving but if he's saying there's a threat against him then definitely the government should look into it, they should increase the security around him. In Maharashtra, giving threat of killing someone is not right, we are totally against it."

Reacting to Bhujbal's threat statement, Leader of Opposition in the Legislative Council Ambadas Danve stated that the Maharashtra government was scared of Bhujbal and there was no incident of any mishap during Maratha agitation in the past.

Ambadas Danve said, "Bhujbal wants to show that he is the well-wisher of Other Backward Castes as he belongs from OBC but Maratha has carried many morchas but never did any mishap during the morchas. The Maharashtra government is scared of Bhujbal speaking against Maratha reservation as he is the senior cabinet minister and state government is in favour of Maratha reservation."

Earlier, State Cabinet Minister and NCP leader (Ajit Pawar faction) Chhagan Bhujbal opposed giving reservations to Marathas under the OBC category and warned the government that he will not tolerate injustice to OBCs and will not remain silent.

Chhagan Bhujbal said, "I will not tolerate injustice to OBCs and will not remain silent. If needed, I will fight for justice even though I am part of the government."

Earlier, The Maharashtra Government handed over the Government resolution (GR) on the ongoing Maratha quota row to activist Manoj Jarange Patil. The resolution promises Maratha's reservation certificates under the Kunbi category. The state has also promised to file a review petition seeking to increase the upper limit of reservation in the Supreme Court. (ANI)
