BRS chief and former Telangana chief minister K Chandrashekara Rao on Tuesday urged people not to visit him at the Yashoda Hospital to enquire about his health.

He thanked people but asked them not to visit due to the risk of infection, traffic trouble and problems with other patients.

"I am thankful to thousands of people who have visited the hospital to see me today. As I am in Yashoda Hospital after an unfortunate accident, my medical team is advising that there is a chance of catching an infection and the condition getting worse," the former CM KCR said in a video.

"I request all to go back to their houses and also request that please do not take the inconvenience of visiting the hospital to see me. There is a lot of traffic trouble too. As I am a person who will be amidst the people after recovery, we all can meet soon," he added.

Earlier on Monday, Telugu Desam Party chief N Chandrababu Naidu visited Yashoda Hospital to enquire about the health of former Telangana CM KCR in Hyderabad.

KCR underwent total left hip replacement surgery after he fell in his farmhouse in Erravalli, on December 7. Earlier, Yashoda Hospital, where Telangana former Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao is hospitalised has said that the latter has a left hip fracture and would require left hip replacement that may take 6-8 weeks to recover.

"Kalvakuntla Chandrashekhar Rao Garu had a slip and fall in his Bathroom at his Residence and was subsequently brought to Yashoda Hospital for further care. On evaluation, including CT scans he was found to have a left Hip fracture (Extracapsular Neck of femur fracture). He would require left hip replacement for the same and the usual course of recovery for such cases is expected to be six to eight weeks," the hospital said in a statement. (ANI)
