After the Bharatiya Janata Party resgistered a thumping victory in all three states of the Hindi heartlands and lost the battle to Congress in Telangana, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday expressed thankfulness to BJP workers and people of Telangana and said that our bond with Telangana is unbreakable and we will keep working for the people.

"My dear sisters and brothers of Telangana, Thank you for your support to the @BJP4India. Over the last few years, this support has only been increasing and this trend will continue in the times to come. Our bond with Telangana is unbreakable and we will keep working for the people. I also appreciate the industrious efforts of each and every BJP Karyakarta," PM Modi posted on X.

Congress is set to form government in Telangana, as the party is leading in eight seats, locking victory in 56 seats. The BRS has won 32 seats and is leading on 7 assembly seats, The BJP has won seven seats and is leading in one more. AIMIM has won 3 seats and leading in 4 seats and CPI has won 1 seat.

It is pertinent to note that the BJP has also increased its vote share in the Telangana elections. Telangana went to the polls on November 30 and the counting of votes was taken up on Sunday morning.

BRS had been ruling Telangana, India's youngest state, for the past 10 years. (ANI)
