Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Saturday launched a scathing attack on Congress and said that they came up with a 'Mahadev App' in which pockets of people are being looted.

Addressing the rally in Durg, Rajnath Singh said "The Congress government was for 5 years, their tenure has not even ended, then came Mahadev App. There is betting going on here. Pockets of people are being looted. Corruption has increased. All the investigative agencies are doing their work and whoever is guilty will have to go to jail. Drug smuggling is going on here. They had promised with Ganga water in their hands that they would ban liquor here but exactly the opposite is happening."

He further said that the BJP is not focused on forming the government rather the main objective is to build the society and country.

"BJP has a way of working. We do not do politics just to form the government. We do politics to build society and country. If you look at our manifesto from 1951 till now, you will find out that we have done what we said. We had said that if we get majority in both Houses (Parliament), we will remove Article 370. We did that. When we got a majority, a grand Ram Temple is being built on the land of Ayodhya and also ended the practice of triple Talaq," he added.

He further appealed to the people to give a historic victory to the BJP in the upcoming second phase of Chhattisgarh elections.

"Chhattisgarh has immense natural resources, the people here are hardworking, yet no industries are able to open here," he added.

Meanwhile, three election observers were removed from their duties by the Election Commission for 'misconduct and violations' in the states of Chhattisgarh, Mizoram, and Madhya Pradesh.

Sources said that IAS officer Laltinkhuma Franklin has been removed from the post of General Observer in Chhattisgarh's Dantewara Assembly Constituency and has been replaced by IAS officer Anurag Patel.

Meanwhile, the first phase of polling for the Chhattisgarh Assembly concluded on Tuesday, and the second phase will be held on November 17.

The counting of votes will take place on December 3 in all five poll-bound states. (ANI)
