Left parties have called for protests against US "imperialism" between November 7 and 10, when US Secretary of State Antony Blinken and Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin would be coming to India to attend the 2+2 Ministerial dialogue with Indian Defense and External Affairs Ministers.
The protests will be held demanding that the USA ensure an immediate ceasefire and stop financing, arming, and supporting the Israeli defense forces' genocide of Palestinians, according to a joint press release issued by CPI (M), CPI, CPI (ML), RSP, and AIFB. The Left Parties called upon the Modi government "to stop endorsing the US-Israeli genocide of Palestinians and to join the global call for an immediate ceasefire". The state units of the Left Parties will decide the modalities of these protest actions in respective states, according to the statement. (ANI)
