Haryana Minister Anil Vij on Friday said that Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal is scared of facing the Enforcement Directorate (ED) as the Aam Admi Party (AAP) supremo did not want to answer the questions of the central agency in the state excise policy case.

This comes after Arvind Kejriwal skipped the ED summons on November 2. Delhi Chief Minister also central agency's summon 'a political notice'.

'Arvind Kejriwal is scared, if he were right, he would have reached the ED office and answered the questions. He (Kejriwal) is scared and hence is adopting such methods. Ever since the Aam Aadmi Party came to power, it has not accepted any constitutional institution and has always opposed it," Anil Vij said.

Earlier Delhi CM demanded that the Enforcement Directorate (ED) withdraw its notice summoning him for questioning, claiming that it was "illegal and politically motivated".

The ED had summoned the Delhi chief minister for questioning in a money laundering case linked to the alleged excise policy scam.

"The said summons is not clear as to the capacity in which I am being summoned i.e. as a witness or a suspect in the above-mentioned case. Please recall the said summons, which is, to say the least, vague and motivated and I am advised, unsustainable in law," Kejriwal stated in his letter.

Also, reacting to remarks made by Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot on the ED raids in Rajasthan on Congress leaders, Anil Vij said, "Some people have done so many wrong things that they get only dreams about ED day and night."

Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot on Friday had questioned the intent of ED raids.

"In such a big country, are there no income offences happening? They are not paying attention to that. Their credibility is reducing and we don't want that. We want these agencies to be strong. This should be a matter of concern," he said. (ANI)
