Delhi's Rouse Avenue court on Friday directed the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to file an affidavit on a plea moved by Agusta Westland Chopper scam case accused Christian James Michel seeking the list of "un-relied" documents received from the United Kingdom.

It has been stated that the CBI received some documents related to the accused through rogatory channels. The charge sheet has been supplied to the accused but the list of "un-relied" documents has not been supplied.

Special CBI Judge Arvind Kumar directed the CBI to file an affidavit by November 2. The matter has been listed for hearing on the application on November 3.

CBI's counsel had earlier submitted that the list of un-relied documents cannot be supplied to the accused.

Michel's Counsel Aljo K Joseph moved the application. The CBI has already filed a reply opposing the plea. Now the court asked the agency to file an affidavit.

On the other hand, advocate Joseph submitted that the accused has been in custody since December 2018 and the investigation has been underway for ten years.

Michel was extradited from the UAE on December 4, 2018. (ANI)
