Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Wednesday aimed to make Goa a first 100 per cent digital state.

"To make Goa a 100 per cent digitalised state, we will send a new project to PM Modi... This would make Goa the first state to be a digital state and we need the centre's support for this. We have also asked for a separate fund for this...," said Sawant.

Notably, the Goa government has set a goal to achieve 100 per cent renewable energy usage across all sectors in the state by 2050.

"The government is committed to generating 150 MW of green energy in the next two years and will be setting up 100 MW solar power plants throughout Goa," said the Goa CM earlier while addressing the second edition of Confederation of Indian Industries (CII) Conference on Clean Renewable Energy 2023 in March.

Expressing confidence to win the Lok Sabha election, he said, "In the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, we and the three independent MLAs in our support will win 100 per cent seats this time..."

Earlier, Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant launched Swayampurna e-bazaar, an online platform that supports self-help groups.

Chief Minister Sawant said that his government launched this online platform to give market to different kinds of products made by self-help groups and women.

"We have launched the Swayampurna e-bazaar on the occasion of Dussehra. We launched this e-bazaar to give market to different kinds of products made by self-help groups and women. These products will be available for people across India," Pramod Sawant said.

The Swayampurna e-bazaar is an extension of the successful Swayampurna Chavath Bazar. The Chaturthi e-Market, another platform, also received a good response, said officials.

The Chavath e Bazaar is an online portal integrated with the Swiggy app for seamless ordering. Goan entrepreneurs and self-help groups can contact 9262626262 to join this platform and sell their products online. One can also shop via www.goaebazaar.com, thereby supporting rural Goans' artisans and craftsmanship. (ANI)
