Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Nitesh Rane on Tuesday targeted Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Aaditya Thackeray in connection with the Disha Salian death case and asked Uddhav Thackeray to address the same.

Salian was the manager of the late actor Sushant Singh Rajput.

"Today Uddhave Thackeray will be addressing workers at Shivaji Park, Sanjay Raut says it is the day to speak the truth. So will Uddhav Thackeray in his today's address speak the truth about his son Aaditya Thackeray's involvement in the Disha Salian murder case? Weren't drugs used in the party held before the death of Disha Salian?" Nitesh Rane said.

Terming Aaditya Thackeray as a "drug addict" and "rapist", Rane claimed that he will be in jail by the next Dussehra.

"Not more than two thousand chairs are placed there at Shivaji Park, and in the address, you will lie. It's time to burn the Ravaan called Uddhav Thackeray, this will be Aaditya Thackeray's last Dusshera melava and after that Aditya will be in jail... Rane also added, after 6th December the hearing in the case will begin, Aaditya Thackeray is a rapist and drug addict... Aaditya Thackeray will be in jail by the next Dussehra melava," he added.

Disha Salian had allegedly died after falling off a high-rise building in the Malad area of Mumbai on June 8, 2020, a week before Sushant Singh Rajput was found hanging from the ceiling of his residence. Mumbai police had registered an accidental death case into the matter. (ANI)
