Defence Minister Rajnath Singh who arrived in Tezpur on Monday for a two-day visit to Assam and Arunachal Pradesh interacted with Armed Forces personnel deployed in the region during 'Barakhana' organised here on Monday evening.

While interacting with the media on the ongoing Israel-Hamas conflict Rajnath Singh said, "The whole world should unite against terrorism. Care should be taken that innocent people do not get affected because of it."

During his two-day visit, Rajnath Singh is set to engage with the security personnel deployed in the strategically vital Tawang sector located in Arunachal Pradesh.

Meanwhile, the Defence Minister will celebrate Dussehra with the soldiers in Tawang. Indian Army chief General Manoj Pande is accompanying the Defence Minister during his visit.

Sharing his itinerary and objectives for the visit, Singh took to 'X', (formerly Twitter) and wrote, "Today, 23rd October, I shall be reaching Tezpur on a 2-day visit to Assam and Arunachal Pradesh. During my visit, I will interact with Armed Forces personnel deployed in the region and also visit forward areas".

"Looking forward to celebrating Dussehra with the soldiers in Tawang", he added. Earlier this year, the Union Minister visited the Tawang sector to review security preparedness in the sector. (ANI)
