Reacting to All India Majlis-E-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief Asaduddin Owaisi's public meeting in Jaipur, state minister Pratap Singh Khachariyawas has said that they (AIMIM) are Bharatiya Janata Party's B team.

"It (AIMIM) is BJP's B team. They are coming again and again to make the BJP win but they will not get votes because the voter knows that they do not have to divide their votes. In Jaipur, we won 5 seats out of 8, this time our target is 8 out of 8," Khachariyawas told ANI.

In a public meeting held in Rajasthan's Jaipur, the AIMIM chief said, "If your goal is to defeat PM Modi, then it is also my aim that Narendra Modi never becomes the PM again. If I ask you if you have ever voted for the BJP, you would deny it. Then how does the BJP succeed?"

He further alleged that Congress MP Rahul Gandhi and PM Modi are "fooling the public by acting like twin brothers".

"When BJP brings a law in Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi and his party never oppose it. Congress also supported the BJP regarding the UAPA law. Both Rahul Gandhi and Modi are fooling the public by acting like twin brothers. Congress party always does this by not stating the truth," he added.

Congress on Sunday also released its second list of 43 candidates for Rajasthan Assembly elections, naming state ministers Pratap Singh Khachariyawas, and Govind Ram Meghwal.

It has fielded Govind Ram Meghwal from Khajuwala, Pratap Singh Khachariyawas from Civil Lines and Parsadi Lal Meena from Lolsot.

Rajasthan assembly polls will be held on November 25. The 200-member house will go to polls in single-phase.

The counting of votes will take place on December 3, coinciding with the other four states: Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Telangana, and Mizoram.

In the 2018 assembly elections in Rajasthan, the Congress won 99 seats, while the BJP won 73 seats in the 200-member house. Ashok Gehlot came to power with the support of BSP MLAs and independents. (ANI)
