Bihar Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar participates in 'Kanya Puja"

Bihar Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar participated in the 'Kanya Puja" ceremony of 1001 girls in Azad Park ground, Gaya On Sunday.

The Kanya Puja ceremony was organized by Seva Bharti on the 'ashtami' of Navratri. Former Chief Minister of Bihar Jitan Ram Manjhi was present as a special guest.

The programme was started by lighting the lamp.

After this, 11 girls were worshipped on the stage by Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar, the former CM Jitan Ram Manjhi, and dignitaries present on the stage.

In his address, the Governor appreciated the work of Seva Bharti.

He said, "It has become the habit of some people in the country to condemn Sanatan Dharma. They get up in the morning and start doing this work."

He said, "We should not be limited to just worshipping girls; daughters should also be trained in using weapons. So that they can walk around in society fearlessly."

Shiv Kailash Dalmia, Engineer Awadhesh Kumar, Pramod Bhadani, Sanjay Singh, BJP District President Prem Prakash, alias Chintu Sharma, BJP leaders Santosh Kumar Singh, Prashant Kumar, Manish Mishra, and others were also present in this programme. (ANI)
