'Meri Maati Mera-Desh' is a campaign to unite the country: Himachal leader Jairam Thakur

In the district-level youth festival organised at Sanskriti Sadan in Mandi under the 'Meri Maati Mera Desh' programme, Leader of Opposition in Himachal Pradesh Assembly Jairam Thakur said that this campaign has been launched on the call of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to unite the country.

Jairam Thakur said, "The'Meri Maati Mera Desh' campaign has been launched on the call of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to unite the country. We will always have to strive to strengthen the roots of the country, keep the culture alive, and connect the coming generations with the stories of our heroes. With a view to instilling the spirit of patriotism among the youth, this programme is progressing with great success."

He thanked Union Information Broadcasting and Youth Services Minister Anurag Thakur, who was present as the chief guest on the programme.

He appealed to the youth, saying that your cooperation is expected to unite the country. "Today there is a need for the country to remain safe, the country to progress, and the feeling of patriotism to remain intact; hence, we have to take this resolution forward," said Jairam Thakur.The Leader of the Opposition said, "Today soil from six lakh villages across the country is reaching Delhi in the Amrit Kalash. From Devbhoomi Himachal, the programme 'Meri Maati Mera Desh, Mati Ka Naman, Salutation to the Brave' went on with great zeal and enthusiasm, and today I am happy that the soil here is also going for the Amrit Vatika to be built in Delhi.
