Ex-Jharkhand CM Raghubar Das appointed Odisha Governor, thanks PM Modi, lauds CM Patnaik's work

Ex-Jharkhand CM Raghubar Das expressed gratitude towards Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP President JP Nadda for giving him a constitutional role as the governor of Odisha. Raghubar Das was newly appointed as the Governor of Odisha on Thursday.

"I would like to express my gratitude to Prime Minister Modi and National President J. P. Nadda, who gave me the chance to play a constitutional role", Das said.Das also praised the work done by Chief Minister Naveen Patanaik in the state of Odisha.

He asserted that "Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik is continuously working for the welfare of the people. While performing the role of governor, I will work together with the state government to help Odisha reach new heights of development."

President Droupadi Murmu appointed Raghubar Das as Governor of Odisha on Thursday. He has been appointed as the 26th Governor of Odisha.

Das is a former Chief Minister of Jharkhand, belonging to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). He has also served as the president of the Jharkhand BJP twice. At present, Ganeshi Lal is serving as the 25th Governor of Odisha. He was sworn in as the Odisha Governor in 2018. (ANI)
