As the Israel-Hamas war entered day 12, pro-Palestine protests were witnessed in Tamil Nadu. Tamil Nadu Thowheed Jamath (TNTJ) cadres held a protest in Chennai's Mount Road against Israel and America over Israel's attack on Palestine. Slogans were raised to stop the war in Palestine and stop killing people in Palestine.

Slogans were raised demanding that America not support Israel. The protesters also demanded that the Indian government should condemn Israel.

The TNTJ agitators also raised slogans against media which portrays Palestine as terrorists and Israel as warriors.

Ever since the war between Hamas and Israel broke out, protests in solidarity with Palestine have been held in parts of South India. On Monday, Hundreds gathered at Bengaluru's MG road took to streets to stand in solidarity with Palestine against Israel's attack on the Gaza Strip.

All India Majlis-E-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief Asaduddin Owaisi also announced a public protest meeting in the state capital on October 23 against the atrocities in Gaza and Palestine amid the ongoing conflict.

Voices in support of Palestine were also heard from J&K. People in Budgam of J&K took to the streets in solidarity with the people in Gaza and Palestine. People held placards and raised slogans. Anti-America-Israel slogans were also raised during the protest.

Earlier this week, Pro Palestine protests were also witnessed in the streets of London. Protesters waved Palestinian flags and held demonstrations on the streets of London. They marched in central London and called for an end to Israel's military action in the Gaza Strip. Chants like "Free Palestine", "occupation no more", and "Long live Palestine" echoed during the protest.

A spokesperson for the Hamas-run health ministry in Gaza claimed that 471 people were killed in an explosion and fire at al-Ahli hospital in central Gaza, with another 28 people in critical condition. As per the Hamas-run Health Ministry in Gaza, an Israeli airstrike caused the blast, and it killed some 500 people, many of whom had sought shelter from an ongoing Israeli offensive.

The Israeli military, however, said Palestinian militants had fired a barrage of rockets near the hospital. (ANI)
