Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Tuesday took a pot-shot at infighting between Congress leaders Kamal Nath and Digvijaya Singh.

"This is the real face of the Congress. One former CM (Kamal Nath) is asking supporters to tear another former CM (Digvijaya Singh) clothes and his son's (Jaivardhan Singh) clothes'. This is the real form of the Congress," CM Chouhan told ANI.

CM Chouhan made the remark in view of a video that surfaced on social media in which former CM Kamal Nath was heard telling the supporters of Virendra Raghuvanshi, a sitting MLA from Kolaras assembly constituency, who recently resigned from BJP and joined Congress, "You should go and tear the clothes of Digvijaya Singh and his son Jaivardhan Singh."

The supporters of Raghuvanshi were asking Nath why their leader did not get a ticket to contest elections in the upcoming assembly polls scheduled to be held next month. Nonetheless, the Congress party has fielded Baijnath Yadav from Kolaras constituency in Shivpuri district in its recently released first list of candidates.

Meanwhile, Chouhan talked about different factions within the Congress party saying he did not understand how many congress there were.

"I don't even understand how many Congress there. It was said that Congress MP Nakul Nath would declare Chhindwara's tickets. But two tickets from the district have been declared. Is Sonia Gandhi's Congress different? Is Kamal Nath's Congress different? Is Nakul Nath's Congress different," the CM asked.

"The public wants to know how many Congress is there," he added.

Notably, Congress on Tuesday released its election manifesto containing 101 guarantees ahead of Madhya Pradesh assembly elections which will be held next month.

Madhya Pradesh is scheduled to undergo assembly polls on November 17. The election would be conducted in one phase in the state and the counting would be done on December 3. (ANI)
