Former Rajya Sabha MP, Ambeth Rajan joined the Aam Aadmi Party on Saturday.

National Organization General Secretary of Aam Aadmi Party Sandeep Pathak welcomed Ambeth Rajan by garlanding with the party flag and giving bouquet.

Ambeth Rajan who was in the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) joined BJP in July this year.

This development comes amid AAP's announcement of its third list of candidates for the Chhattisgarh Assembly Election on Thursday.

The AAP and Congress are part of the opposition's Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance, but both parties have not cleared their stance about a pre-poll alliance in the poll-bound states including Chhattisgarh.

Earlier on Monday, Delhi Chief Minister and AAP national convenor Arvind Kejriwal said that his party will fight with 'full strength' in Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh.

Meanwhile, the Election Commission has announced that the first phase of polling for 20 seats in Chhattisgarh will be held on November 7, and the remaining 70 seats in Chhattisgarh will go to polls on November 17. (ANI)
