BJP leader Ravi Shankar Prasad hit out at the Bhupesh Baghel government on Friday with allegations of scam, corruption, crime, anti-poor and youth policies and said that the Chhattisgarh government had snatched the rights of the people.

Addressing a press conference BJP leader Ravi Shankar Prasad said, "The corrupt Bhupesh Baghel government has snatched away the rights of thousands of youth by getting his ineligible close acquaintances selected in the PSC. He has snatched away the rights of the people by committing many scams like rice scam, liquor scam etc. Certainly, the people of Chhattisgarh will raise their voices against the corruption shop of the Baghel government and vote for the double-engine government of BJP in the state."

He said that seeing Bhupesh Baghel reminded him of Ajit Jogi the former Chief Minister of Chattisgarh.

He said, "Whatever happened to Ajit Jogi, Bhupesh Baghel will also meet the same fate. When I see the Gothan scam, it reminds me of the fodder scam. Why does Bhupesh Baghel love gaming apps so much? When I was investigating this matter, I was told about the Mahadev App. We will strongly raise the issue of Mahadev App and he will have to answer it."

Ravi Shankar Prasad alleged that the CM claimed to be a devotee of Ram but when Sanatan Dharma was insulted he kept quiet.

He further said, "Nowadays there is a big discussion about caste census. BJP has honestly worked for the backward classes and tribals and today I want to say that the country's first tribal leader Droupadi Murmu was made the President by our government and Congress opposed it. BJP has given tickets to OBC, Scheduled Castes, women and youth. The highest number of MPs in the country from the OBC, SC ST are from the BJP, the Prime Minister comes from the OBC community. The way the census has been conducted in Bihar, the number of extremely backward communities has been deliberately understated."

Meanwhile, the Election Commission of India announced dates for Assembly polls in 5 States. Polls will be held in Mizoram on November 7, Chhattisgarh on November 7 and November 17, Madhya Pradesh on November 17, Rajasthan on November 23 and Telangana on November 30.

The counting of votes will take place on December 3 in all the states. Of the five states, polling in Chhattisgarh will be held in two phases. The Model Code of Conduct has come into force with the announcement of poll dates. (ANI)
