A video went viral on social media where five people were seen hitting a person brutally with wooden sticks. Based on the video a case has been registered under section 307 IPC under Jubli Hills police station against accused Bhaskar and four others.

The accused is said to be Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) MLA Maganti Gopinath's PA. The incident took place at Lakshmi Narasimha Nagar of Yusufguda on Saturday midnight in Hyderabad. A small argument led to a big fight.

According to police, initially, the victim Chandu was talking with a lady, for which a person named Lalit raised an objection against him for standing in a family locality.

"During the argument, Chandu pushed away Lalit's bike after which they started fighting. Victim Chandu took a stone and hit Bhaskar. After that, the accused Bhaskar and his four friends started thrashing Chandu. After getting first aid at Gandhi Hospital, Chandu seems to have gone to his native in AP. Based on the viral video we have registered a case. The main accused Bhaskar and Lalit are in our custody. We are trying to nab the remaining accused. We are also trying to reach out to victim Chandu", informed the Police.

The opposition leaders have accused Bhaskar of being the PA of Jubli Hills MLA, however, the Police officials said that he is a party member and not a PA of MLA.

Further investigation into the matter is underway (ANI)
