The Delhi High Court on Wednesday dismissed the anticipatory bail pleas of the Delhi Government's suspended officer Premoday Khakha's daughter and son.

Their father was arrested and suspended in a case of alleged rape of a minor girl.

The anticipatory bail plea was dismissed by the trial court on September 22. The son's anticipatory bail plea was dismissed on September 21, 2023.

Justice Saurabh Banerjee dismissed the pleas of Prateeksha Khakha and Harsh Prateek Khakha.

The hearings were conducted in-camera. However, the decision was pronounced in the open court.

Khakha was arrested for the alleged offence of raping a minor several times and impregnating her and was arrested on August 21. His daughter is also accused of abetment to the crime.

Khakha and his wife Seema Rani are in judicial custody in this case. His wife allegedly gave the victim medicine to terminate the pregnancy.

Delhi police had registered a case against Khakha for allegedly raping a minor between November 2020 and January 2021.

It is alleged the minor victim is the daughter of a person known to the accused. Police had arrested the couple after recording the statement of the victim.

Police had registered under sections of rape and the POCSO Act and other sections under the India Penal Code. (ANI)
