Navi Mumbai police arrests four accused of duping people over fraudulent foreign job opportunities

Navi Mumbai Police have arrested four people for cheating about Rs 4 crore from about 417 youths in the name of providing them jobs abroad.

According to APMC Police, an office was started in the Commodity Exchange Building of APMC in the name of GSOS Consultancy and through this office, about 417 unemployed youth were defrauded of crores of rupees in the name of getting jobs in foreign countries.

"After extorting money from unemployed youth, the thugs closed the office and fled. Seeing no job and no money, the youth lodged a complaint at the APMC police station. During this, it was revealed that these thugs had defrauded 417 youth from different states including Mumbai to the tune of Rs 3 crore 38 lakh 94 thousand in the name of getting them jobs in hotels abroad. Based on the complaint, when the team of Assistant Police Inspector Ashok Damale, under the guidance of Senior Police Inspector Tanveer Shaikh, started investigating this case, two accused were arrested from Mumbai and two accused were arrested from Indore city of Madhya Pradesh" added the police,

"Lina Arora and Vicky Joseph have been arrested and the court has granted police custody by October 11." added the Police

A case has been registered, and further investigation is underway. More information is awaited. (ANI)
