Goa CM Pramod Sawant inaugurates G -Tech, Multiverse Technologies Expo

Goa chief minister Pramod Sawant on Friday inaugurated 'G -Tech Goa' biggest Multiverse Technologies Expo organised by Computer Dealers Forum of Goa (CDFG). The event was attended by Chandrakant Shetye, MLA and Chairman Info Tech Corporation of Goa Ltd. and Sankalp Amonkar, MLA Mormugao GOin the city.

Addressing the attendees, CM Pramod Sawant said, "The government is not only making continuous efforts to reach the schemes to the last person in the society but also making efforts so that various Common Citizen services of the state Government and Government of India reach the people."

Chief Minister said that the state government is adapting IT solutions regularly and urged the people from the IT field to visit the two-day exhibition.

CM Sawant also appreciated all the exhibitors from different states for exhibiting IT Products.

"Such exhibition should be held in Goa atleast once a year so that people can witness and use advanced technology which are available in the market," he added.

Chandrakant Shetye addressing the function said IT is the richest industry and one of the booming industries that has a positive future.

Raising the concern that many of our Goans who has passed IT are moving out from the state for Job, Shetye stated there is a need to have more of an IT culture in Goa.

Shri Praveen Volvotkar Managing Director - Info Tech Corporation of Goa Ltd. Simon Fernandes, President of CDFG was also present on the occasion.

Various IT products such as State of Art Computing, Security and Surveillance, Robotics, Multimedia, Cloud Computing and storage etc were displayed for the exhibition. (ANI)
