Himachal CM Sukhu's college friends donate Rs 2.5 lakh to Aapda Rahat Kosh

Friends of Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu from his alma mater, Government Degree College Sanjauli, district Shimla, contributed Rs 2.5 lakh towards the Aapda Rahat Kosh-2023.

The Aapda Rahat Kosh-2023 aims to provide disaster relief and support to the people affected by the monsoon fury in the state, according to an official statement.

Lokesh Bhatia presented a cheque to the Chief Minister here on Friday. In a collective effort by Sukhu's college friends, including Naresh Sharma, Mohit Chauhan, Chander Mohan Bali, Narendra Sharma, Sanjeev Jamwal, Inder Sharma and Sudarshan Sharma along with others reflected their large-hearted approach to the noble cause.

Expressing his heartfelt gratitude, CM Sukhu said that contributions like these demonstrate the spirit of unity and compassion that runs through society during times of crisis. He emphasized that every penny contributed plays a crucial role in providing aid to those affected by disasters.

It is worth mentioning that Himachal Pradesh has witnessed a catastrophe this year with the monsoon causing massive infrastructural damage and claiming several lives. (ANI)
