MP CM Chouhan dedicates second phase of 'Shri Mahakal Mahalok' in Ujjain to people

With this, the Mahakal Temple premises have expanded from 2.87 hectares to 47 hectares. CM Chouhan also laid the foundation stone of the Medical College and performed the 'Bhoomi Pujan' for Unity Mall on the occasion.

Speaking on the occasion, the CM said, "Baba Mahakal has showered his blessings on all of us. It is because of his good graces and blessings that we are here today, inaugurating the second phase of Mahakal Lok. The light of happiness has lit up every corner of Mahakal Lok today. I am feeling extremely happy on this occasion. During the Simhastha organised in 2016, I envisioned Mahakal Lok sitting at the feet of sages and saints. We resolved to create Mahakaal Lok. Today marks the fulfilment of that resolution."

Mahakal Mahalok has been developed over 47 hectares. Along with Mahakal Lok, Shaktipath, Mahakal Lok Van, Neelkanth Van, the upgradation of Maharajwada complex, Siddhi Vinayak Path, new Mahakal Ride Marg, Kotitirtha Marg, Mahakal Tunnel have also been constructed, the CM said, adding that Mahakal Annakshetra has also been inaugurated where one lakh people can sit and eat food.

"Baba Mahakal has blessings for all of us. When the crops were withering due to the lack of rainfall in the state, I couldn't think of any other recourse than to worship Mahakal with full devotion. By the grace of Mahakal, we have received good rains since. Now, there is abundant water in all our ponds and waterbodies. The blessings of Mahakaal are upon us," CM Chouhan said.

Amid the controversy around Sanatan Dharma, triggered by a statement from DMK leader Udhayanidhi Stalin, the CM said, "Sanatan Dharma considers everyone as equal. It preaches the welfare and harmonious existence of people across all communities." (ANI)
