Union Minister for I&B and Youth Affairs Anurag Thakur participated in the Shimla Rozgar Mela, where he distributed 110 appointment letters to aspiring job seekers.

The event is part of a nationwide initiative where Prime Minister Narendra Modi will distribute approximately 51,000 appointment letters to newly recruited individuals in various government departments.

Thakur said, In Shimla, the capital of Himachal Pradesh, 700 people have been appointed, out of which 600 are from the postal department and the rest are in some banks, some in Central Research Institute (CRI). So you can see for yourself how the Modi government has created the possibility of increasing jobs in the government sector.

Rozgar Melas are being organized across 46 locations in India to facilitate employment opportunities for the youth.

Addressing the gathering, Anurag Thakur extended his greetings to the 51,000 individuals across the country who are embarking on a new journey in the government sector.

He emphasized the importance of accessibility and urged all job seekers to take advantage of the opportunities presented.

Thakur said, I'd like to greet 51000 people across the country. I'd like to appeal to everyone about accessibility. It's not a job, but rather an opportunity to serve. The way technology is changing makes the job easier, but it also requires you to learn new things every day.

Thakur highlighted that these appointments are not just jobs but opportunities to serve the nation. He acknowledged the changing landscape of technology, which is making work easier but also requires continuous learning.

The Minister emphasized the government's commitment to transparency, ensuring that benefits reach individuals directly through digital means, minimizing the scope for corruption.

Anurag Thakur also noted the government's efforts in simplifying processes for businesses, with over 63,000 businesses now finding it easier to operate, and 49,000 formalities eliminated, making it more convenient for entrepreneurs and investors.

There is no room for corruption. The open government has made it simple to get benefits directly into your bank account. Our government has simplified over 63000 companies and eliminated 49000 processes, said Thakur.

The Shimla Rozgar Mela, with the active participation of Union Minister Anurag Thakur, aims to empower job seekers and provide them with the tools they need to contribute to the nation's progress while ensuring a transparent and accessible recruitment process.

Earlier speaking at another Rozgar Mela Prime Minister Narendra Modi called on government employees to work with a citizen-first approach.

The country has resolved to become a developed India by 2047. In the next few years, we are going to be the third-largest economy... In this period, every government employee is going to play a huge role. You always needto work with a citizen-first spirit, PM Modi said as he virtually distributed 51,000 appointment letters.

In the past nine years, you have witnessed how technological transformation can ease governance. Earlier, people used to stand in queues at the booking counters of railway stations. Technology has overcome this problem. Aadhaar cards, digital lockers and eKYC have eliminated the complexity of documentation the Prime Minister added.(ANI)
