CM Soren and Governor condole passing of Jharkhand HC Justice Kailash Prasad Deo

Jharkhand chief minister Hemant Soren condoled the demise of Jharkhand High Court Justice Kailash Prasad Deo on Friday.

Taking to X, Jharkhand CM Soren wrote, "Sad news was received about the demise of Honourable Jharkhand High Court Judge Justice Kailash Prasad Dev Ji. May God grant peace to the departed soul and give strength to the bereaved family members to bear this difficult time of grief."

The Governor of Jharkhand, C P Radhakrishnan, also extended condolences on the demise of Jharkhand High Court Justice.

On X, Governor C P Radhakrishnan wrote, "The untimely demise of Jharkhand High Court Judge Kailash Prasad Dev ji is very sad and painful. His demise is an irreparable loss in the judicial world. My deepest condolences to the bereaved family members. May God give them the strength to bear this pain. Om peace!"

Justice Kailash Prasad Dev was suffering from cancer and passed away in Ranchi on Friday morning (September 22). There is a wave of mourning among the lawyers over his sudden death. A stream of people have visited the Justice's residence since morning to pay tribute. Chief Justice of Jharkhand High Court Sanjay Kumar Mishra also reached his residence to pay tribute.

The Jharkhand High Court, along with its offices and subordinate courts across the state, shall remain closed today to pay homage and mark respect for the departed soul of Late Justice Kailash Prasad Deo. (ANI)
