Stone pillars will be constructed at 290 places which will reflect the life and importance of Lord Rama, General Secretary of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Champat Rai Ashok Singhal Foundation said on Thursday.

Talking to the media persons, Rai said government expenditure will not be used to construct the pillars but Ashok Singhal Foundation will bear all the cost.

"In Delhi, there is a trust named Ashok Singhal Foundation. The idea of that trust is to put a stone pillar in the places related to the life and importance of Lord Ram. Any verse describing that place in Valmiki Ramayan should be written on it. Whatever language the local society understands; its meaning should also be written in the same language... No money will be spent by any government, and all the expenses will be done by the Ashok Singhal Foundation.

He further said that the first pillar will reach Ayodhya by September 27 which will be installed on Mani Parvat.

The first pillar will reach Ayodhya by September 27, and we have a thought of installing it on Mani Parvat," Rai added. (ANI)
