The Delhi High Court while quashing an FIR for alleged cheating and other offences directed three persons including two accused and the complainant to distribute uniform socks worth Rs 48,000 to Delhi police personnel of six police stations.

The high court directed the two petitioners to deposit Rs 24,000 against whom the case was registered and the complainant each for purchasing the socks for police personnel.

The high court passed the direction while quashing an FIR registered at Ashok Vihar police station in 2018.

The bench also noted that the parties have already settled their dispute and the complainant does not want the pursue legal action against the petitioners.

The high court has listed the matter for October 30 for compliance with the orders.

The socks will be distributed in equal quantities in police stations Keshav Puram, Bharat Nagar, Model Town, Ashok Vihar, Roop Nagar and Maurice Nagar. (ANI)
