Kerala police have launched an investigation after Congress General Secretary Padmanabhan NP alleged that his scooter was damaged by Communist Party of India (CPM) (Marxist) workers in Kannur district.
According to the police, "The scooter belonging to Congress General Secretary Padmanabhan NP was pushed into a well. The vehicle was extensively damaged after it was recovered in Pookoth Street, Taliparamba locality of Kannur district." Police said that Padmanabhan, a key figure in the local Congress leadership representing the Taliparamba Assembly constituency accused CPM workers behind this deliberate act of vandalism. Taliparamba police station, headed by Sub-inspector Yadu Krishnan P, has promptly registered a case and launched an investigation into the matter to identify those responsible and assess any potential political motivations.
