Paul further said that if charges against the Trinamool MP are proven, she will be punished as well.

Meanwhile, Trinamool MP Nusrat Jahan reached the Enforcement Directorate(ED) office inKolkataon Tuesday after being summonedregarding a complaint filed by a group of senior citizens accusing a real estate company of cheating by promising them flats in the New Town of Kolkata.

Upon her arrival, as the media approached her for a reaction, she remained tight-lipped.

Notably, Nusrat Jahan is a former director of the company till 2017, according to the complaint. Currently, Nusrat is an MP from Basirhat Lok Sabha constituency.

"This is the Modi Government, you can be a chief minister, a politician or a film star, but you will not be spared if you cheat people... Retired people gave crores of rupees of their life savings to Nusrat Jahan to get a flat. They got neither the flat nor the money.
