Ravinder Kumar, a man accused of raping and murdering several children was convicted by the Rohini Court on Saturday.
The accused had confessed to raping and murdering around 30 children. Additional CP, Vikramjit Singh, the then DCP Outer, told ANI, "Justice delivered finally. So many innocent young souls can rest in peace now. This reaffirms our faith in the criminal justice system." The accused hails from Kasganj in Uttar Pradesh. He allegedly committed the crimes in the areas of Delhi-NCR and Western Uttar Pradesh. As per the allegations, the accused is addicted to alcohol and drugs and used to commit crimes in an inebriated state. He used to lure children with sweet treats, and then rape and murder them. (ANI)
