Actor Adam Mondschein has spoken out in support of filmmaker and actor Justin Baldoni following the settlement of actress Blake Lively's lawsuit related to the film 'It Ends With Us', according to Page Six.

Mondschein, who portrayed Dr. Dunbar in the 2024 film adaptation, appeared on Piers Morgan Uncensored and criticised Lively's actions during the legal dispute.

"It is the inexplicable," Mondschein said, according to Page Six.

"I feel sorry for [Lively] ultimately. I can't imagine what it must be like to be inside her mind," he added.

"I have very firm feelings about the actions that she took, and she hurt my friend and has been hurting my friend," Mondschein said, referring to Baldoni, according to Page Six.

The actor also praised Baldoni and Wayfarer Studios CEO Jamey Heath, describing them as compassionate individuals focused on meaningful storytelling.

"They're really, truly great people. They're not Hollywood people. They're people that want to make movies that have a heart, that help, that are of service, and that's why they got into it," Mondschein said.

Speaking about Baldoni's emotional state after the settlement, Mondschein said the filmmaker had been deeply affected by the public attention surrounding the case.

"I think the burden that this is on the family, the taxing, like how they were dragged into the public," he said.

"It is unbearable when someone misjudges you, when someone takes you out of context, when someone takes what you have built," Mondschein added.

He further claimed that Baldoni had hoped for a trial partly to publicly share his side of the story.

"I believe Baldoni partly wanted it to go to trial so he could 'tell his story," Mondschein said.

On Monday, Lively and Baldoni settled the lawsuit filed by the actress in 2024, in which she accused Baldoni of sexual harassment during the filming of 'It Ends With Us'.

In a joint statement shared after the settlement, both parties said, "The end product -- the movie It Ends With Us -- is a source of pride to all of us who worked to bring it to life."

"Raising awareness, and making a meaningful impact in the lives of domestic violence survivors -- and all survivors -- is a goal that we stand behind," the statement added.

"We acknowledge the process presented challenges and recognise concerns raised by Ms Lively deserved to be heard."

According to reports, neither Lively nor Baldoni received money through the settlement, although their legal teams reportedly spent around USD 60 million collectively on lawsuits and countersuits.

Following the settlement, Lively attended the 2026 Met Gala solo, while Baldoni was photographed with his wife, Emily Baldoni, in Nashville on Wednesday, according to Page Six. (ANI)
