Hollywood legend Catherine O'Hara was posthumously awarded at the SAG-AFTRA's Actor Awards, winning one of the leading trophies at the ceremony.

O'Hara, who passed away in January this year after a brief illness, won for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Comedy Series for Apple TV's 'The Studio', reported Variety.

She was also named a winner as a part of 'The Studio' cast in the Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series category.

At the ceremony, the late actor received a standing ovation, when her 'The Studio' co-star Seth Rogen walked onstage to accept the award on her behalf.

In a moving speech, Rogen said, "I know she would have been honoured to receive this award from her fellow performers, who I know she respected so much -- she was such big fans of all of yours," further recalling his experience working with O'Hara, as quoted by Variety.

"I obviously you know, have been reflecting on the time I was fortunate enough to spend with her, working with her, and something that I've just been marveling at over the last few weeks was really her ability to be generous and kind and gracious, while never ever minimising her own talents and her own ability to contribute to the work that we were doing. She knew she could destroy, and she wanted to destroy every day on set," he continued.

"She really showed that you can be a genius and be kind, and one of those things does not have to come at the expense of the other in any way, shape or form," Rogen said.

The heartfelt tribute left the audience in applause, including actor Jenna Ortega who appeared teary-eyed.

Ortega worked with the late actor in 'Beetlejuice Beetlejuice'.

Catherine O'Hara passed away on January 30 at her home in Los Angeles, hitting hard across Hollywood and fans. She was 71.

Heartfelt tributes were shared, remembering her iconic works.

Meanwhile, at the Actor Awards 2026, Seth Rogen also picked up the Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Comedy Series for 'The Studio'. (ANI)
