Actor Taapsee Pannu is all set to come up with a new film titled 'Assi'.

Directed by Anubhav Sinha, 'Assi' will hit the theatres on February 20, 2026.

On Friday, an intriguing motion poster of the film was unveiled. It depicted a girl fleeing from a group of three boys, intercut with visuals of Taapsee Pannu portraying a lawyer, her face smeared with blood.

The text on the poster reads, "Assi. Uss raat woh ghar nahi pahunchi (that night she didn't reach home)."

Kani Kusruti, Mohd Zeeshan Ayyub, Revathy, Kumud Mishra, Manoj Pahwa, Supriya Pathak Kapur, and Naseeruddin Shah also play prominent roles in the film, which is presented by Gulshan Kumar and T-Series.

"ASSI, a relentless investigative thriller, unfolds through an intense, power-packed courtroom drama. As the film concludes, it leaves you questioning Why didn't I know this? Or did I? Justice must be served, but first, justice must be defined. Are those proven guilty the only culprits?" read a press note.

Taapsee is best known for her roles in 'Pink', 'Mulk', and 'Thappad', among several others. (ANI)
